Daily Prompt: Obvious

“A hidden connection is stronger than an obvious one.”

-Heraclitus of Ephesus

Somethings are just so obvious in life for example, you could go to the store be looking at clothes or shoes and if something too big or too small it’s obvious it doesn’t fit, so you don’t even bother trying it on. Then there are thing in life we wished showed more obvious signs, that it wasn’t going to fit, it wasn’t going to work; so why bother trying it.

But then if we would live our life without every taking a chance or reckless decisions what would be the fun in that. Life all about making choices but sometimes we tend to go for the obvious more reasonable ones, don’t! Take risk take chances that’s what life is all about.

Daily Prompt: Learning

Today’s my baby boy’s 8 monthiversary from the day he was born I knew my life had changed forever. I knew that from that moment forward it was going to be a lifetime of non-stop learning. Learning how to hold him, how to change him. Learning about all the different methods of parenting.

Everyday as he grows older, I become more a more scared that I might not be doing things the right way.

But then I think to myself there is no better way of learning than by trail and error.  No one is every born knowing how to do things the right way. We learn something knew everyday.

My baby boy teaches me something new everyday and some days are struggles, but I love learning from him. I love learning how to become a mother with him.

9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

New mommies if you’re not already doing them, start them now. Its time to tone your lady parts!

I know you’ve heard of Kegel exercises, but uh … what’s the deal with them again? Kegels are exercises you can do to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles. The muscles that support your urethra, bladder, uterus, and rectum. There basically to help women with urinary incontinence, or diminished bladder control, which can happen after childbirth.

How do I do them?

Imagine that you’re trying to stop yourself from passing gas and trying to stop the flow of pee at the same time. The feeling is one of “squeeze and lift” – a closing and drawing up of the front and back passages. Make sure that you’re squeezing and lifting without pulling in your tummy, squeezing your legs together, tightening your buttocks, or holding your breath. In other words, only your pelvic floor muscles should be working.

If you haven’t been doing Kegels, start by holding each contraction for a few seconds before releasing, and relax for a few seconds after each one. As your muscles get stronger, you’ll want to work up to holding each Kegel for ten seconds, then relaxing for ten seconds after each one. If you’re suffering from urinary incontinence, try to hold a Kegel while you sneeze, cough, or lift something. You may find that it helps keep you from leaking.

*Week 1

  • Warm-up, 10 sets — Contract PC muscle for five seconds, five-second rest
  • Standard contractions, 10 sets — Contract PC muscle firmly 30 times, then take a one- minute rest
  • Flutter, three sets — Contract PC muscle quickly and repeatedly for 10 seconds, rest for 10 seconds

Madam CJ Waker Review

blogpostpitcturemadam

Okay so remember I had told you guys I was super excited to try this product from my Influenster Bonita Voxbox because  I had recently just had some work done in my hair. My natural hair color is dark black and I had a blond ombre done. Because my hair is black it was really hard to get the blond so the bleaching really but I mean really damaged my hair. I had been trying everything from coconut oil to hydrating intensive treatments. But nothing really seem to show me as immediate result has this conditioning masque.

It really does miracles I applied it after I washed and shampooed my hair. I left it on for 15 mins as recommended. And let me tell you immediately saw the results I left my hair very smooth and hydrated. My ends which were a terrible nightmare gave me hopes they could be saved. I really really recommend this product!

I’m so excited of being so close to finishing my last course required to earn my Associate Degree. It’s a small stepping stone of my life, but by accomplishing it gives me great faith and strength to keep on moving towards my bachelors degree.
